BA(Hons), ITEC, VTCT, LCIC
I have been practising complementary therapy since first qualifying in Swedish massage in 1994 from Morley College in London. I soon found that it was work that I loved and the following year trained in Aromatherapy and in Reflexology with Renee Tanner. I subsequently trained with Barbara McGregor in Reiki and Narendra and Kundan Mehta at the London Centre of Indian Champissage in Indian head and in facial rejuvenation massage. A few years later while travelling in Thailand I studied Thai compress massage. With over 20 years experience in a wide range of complementary therapy treatments I have a wealth of hands-on experience which I endeavor to use to make each treatment I give just right for the recipient.

Profoundly relaxing and balancing treatment performed on the feet to encourage health and vitality. It differs to a massage because rather than focusing on releasing tension in the soft tissue of the foot itself the reflexologist works on very specific reflex points on the foot that connect energetically to the body as a whole, releasing blockages and supporting the body’s innate healing abilities. Hugely beneficial in counteracting the effects of stressful lives and a favourite among expectant mothers (after the first trimester) to alleviate discomfort.
Hot Stone Massage
Uses smooth volcanic basalt stones heated, and oiled, to smoothly but firmly work into tense and knotty muscles. The stones are an effective medium for retaining heat and, combined with the massaging action on the muscles, relaxes and releases muscular tension. The heat from the stones also expands blood vessels allowing increased blood flow which in turn brings fresh oxygen and nutrients and helps to remove toxins. Overly tense muscles can hinder the massage procedure, so if your muscles are extremely tight or stiff, the heated stones may provide the extra relaxation you need for the massage to be beneficial in releasing tension and easing sore muscles.
Warm Bamboo Massage
A relatively new style of massage that, due to it’s effectiveness, is fast gaining popularity. During treatment warm organic coconut oil is worked into the skin and heated bamboo tools are used to stretch out areas of tightness interspersed with targeted deep pressure work on knots and trigger points. Just like all modalities of massage muscle tension is treated but in this case using a range of different sized warmed silky bamboo canes which allow the application of deeper broader pressure and longer sweeping strokes. As with other thermal massage treatments, the heat imparted to the soft tissues from the bamboo enhances the releasing effect on the muscles and connective tissue and bamboo massage makes for a good alternative for, or complement to, sports or deep tissue massage.
Indian Head Massage
An invigorating and effective seated massage usually performed without oil and through light clothing, such as a t-shirt, or bare-shouldered. This treatment focuses on releasing muscular tension in the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp.
Relax & Remineralise Facial
Spa Find nourishing mineral mud facial. This treatment includes a cleanse, hot cloth steam, exfoliate and massage to prepare your skin for the hydrating and softening mask. Activated using harmonised water to enhance the mineralising effect of the Dead Sea Mud the mask then requires a full 20/30 minutes to fully set and impart all of its healing properties. While the mask is doing its thing, take your pick of a mini treatment to relax further. Reflexology or Thai foot massage work well or some reiki. It’s up to you. Suitable for sensitive skin, it contains Citric Acid to help balance the skin’s pH and peels off to reveal a firmer and smoother complexion. Your treatment finishes with Spa Find Deep Sea Nourishment Intensive Cream being massaged into your skin to leave you relaxed, remineralised and radiant.
No Nasties Manicures & Pedicures
Includes filing and shaping of your nails, cuticle work, exfoliation & and a massage. You can choose to complete your treatment with regular nail varnish or with a gel polish, which is a great alternative to regular polish, especially on finger nails, as it dries instantly and is much harder wearing, lasting up to 3 weeks with no chipping, peeling or cracking. All products used in this treatment are vegan friendly, cruelty free and natural, or organic where possible. The brands of polish, the regular and gel, are non-toxic being ‘5-free’ and ’10-free’ respectively, that is to say free from the formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), camphor and more of the most toxic chemicals traditionally found in nail polish formulas whilst being professional standard products developed for salon use.

Facial Rejuvenation Massage
This revolutionary facial is often also referred to as ‘Natural Facelift Massage’. The treatment starts with a cleansing of the skin followed by energy work on pressure points of the face. Then an involved, precise series of unique massage techniques are performed to tone muscles and release fixed areas of tension in the connective tissue. It nurtures the skin by encouraging circulation and lymph drainage and is outstandingly relaxing.
Reiki generates a sense of inner peace and deep relaxation as it gently influences the recipient’s individual system towards balance. During a treatment energy passes through the practitioner’s hands as they are placed non-intrusively on the recipient’s fully clothed recumbent body. Reiki is a system of natural healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century and is open to any belief system. It sits happily alongside other conventional or complementary treatments so lends itself well to inclusion in any other therapies as a shorter taster for those who want to try it without too much commitment.
Thai Herbal Compress Massage
Thai massage is traditionally known for its work on energy (Sen) lines. In a thai herbal compress massage steam heated herbal balls are used to release blockages from these lines assisting the body’s own natural healing process to restore balance. The compress traditionally consists of a mixture of several herbs traditionally used in Thai herbal medicine, such as lemongrass, turmeric, kaffir lime, camphor and tamarind. The compresses are steamed and then worked into the muscles. As the pores open from the moist heat it allows the herbs to take effect. Ailments such as stiff, sore or pulled muscles and ligaments are relieved.
Aromatherapy proffers the many healing and therapeutic properties of essential oils. Following a short consultation a blend is created specifically for you and your treatment commences with the application of your unique personal blend using an aromatherapy massage. Much gentler than a Swedish or deep tissue massage, the focus of this treatment is on the therapeutic action that the oils bestow on the body and nervous system as they are inhaled and absorbed through the skin.
Himalayan Salt Stone Massage
A brand new treatment for 2019, this massage has all the benefits of other thermal therapy treatments plus a few more. Heated Himalayan pink salt rocks soothe away muscle tension while gently exfoliating and remineralising. Made from natural salt, crystallised over 250 million years ago to form ancient sea beds, covered by lava protecting the salt from modern-day pollution. Negative ions are produced when the salt is heated creating a sense of peace and a deeper sense of relaxation. Containing the same 84 trace minerals and elements that are found in the human body, like sodium chloride, sulphate, calcium, potassium, and magnesium, the salt stones moisturise and plump up the superficial layers of the skin leaving the skin feeling refreshed and glowing.
Intensive Back Treatment
Sometimes called a bacial, a portmanteau of back and facial, this treatment tends to that hard to reach area. Starting with a scalp massage to release head and neck tension, your skin is then dry brushed, cleansed, exfoliated, steamed, and thoroughly massaged using deep tissue techniques if needed. Treatment finishes with a tone and moisturise leaving your skin in great condition. This treatment truly is a facial for your back!

Lava Shell Massage
Lava Shell massage is a type of heat treatment that uses Tiger-striped clam shells as a massage tool. The clams have been harvested for food in the Philippines for hundreds of years. The shells used to be thrown away, but are now being recycled and used for Lava Shell massage. The heat is produced by inserting a ‘lava gel sachet’ and ‘activator liquid’ into the shell which then emits continuous heat, allowing therapists to provide an uninterrupted and seamless body massage. Due to the lava shells’ unique shape and angles they become an extension of the therapist’s hands, deploying deeply therapeutic relief to where it is needed.
The Ultimate Pamper
A full body brush and polish to stimulate the lymphatic system and cell renewal gets this treatment underway. You are then wrapped in an age defying and detoxifying body mask of essential oils and acai berry extract. While the mask takes effect your face and scalp are also treated. The treatment finishes with a full body massage to ease away any remaining tension.
Thai Foot Massage
Thai Foot Massage is a treatment of the lower legs and feet that involves hands on stretching and massage with traditional camphorous Thai balm to decongest Sen (energy) Lines and relieve aches and fatigue in the lower limbs, along with the use of a rounded stick to stimulate pressure points on the feet to promote general health and well-being.
Sports massage tends to focus more on a specific area, such as a shoulder or a knee, and uses deep tissue massage and manipulation to address underlying causes of discomfort and reduced mobility. A regular sports massage can help to prevent muscle strain, fatigue and soreness.
